Trident Wholesaler
In the mid 1950's the public authorities in the United States had begun to show great concern about the excessive consumption of chewing gum due to the high concentration of sugar they had. In 1962, the American Chicle Co. developed a new chewing gum that replaced sugar with artificial sweeteners. Trident, the first sugar-free chewing gum in history, was born.
In 1964, they launched the brand nationally and with this new oral health care positioning, success was assured. Just one year later they launched the famous and effective "4 out of 5 dentists" campaign, surely the best advertising example in history. It still works more than 50 years later.
Over time, Trident has not stopped improving and evolving its products. It has brought out new flavors and clinically researched how to care for and strengthen teeth. Always trying to reach a wider audience.
Currently Trident belongs to Mondelez, is a world leader in chewing gum sales with a presence in more than 70 countries and with figures of around 1,000 million dollars a year.
